Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a passionate Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer (FTI Engineer) to join our young and growing Flight Test Systems Team. As a Flight Test Instrumentation Engineer you work on the design, realization, operation and maintenance of the FTI system including hardware (e.g. analog sensors, harness, data acquisition unit) and software (signal acquisition and processing) for our flying eVTOL testbeds and prototypes. Be part of test campaigns and shape the future of aerial mobility with us by joining our Flight Test Systems Team and dig into the details.


  • Design and realize the FTI System, including Sensors, Harness, DAQ according to valid airworthiness standards in collaboration with other departments e.g. Avionics, Aerodynamics or Structure
  • Be part of our Flight Test Systems Team, join flight test campaigns and see your developments fly
  • Maintain and calibrate the FTI equipment of various (flying) testbeds and prototypes
  • Manage suppliers of sensors and FTI equipment
  • Support Software Integration with Datalinks, Databases and QuickLook pages
  • Manage and maintain FTI equipment/calibration Database
  • Continuously challenge and improve the technical concepts, tools, and methods


you should …
  • Hold a Master degree in Electrical/Electronic/Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the area of your responsibilities described above
  • Have knowledge and practical experience of analog sensors: working principle, calibration, and signal processing
  • Have knowledge of data acquisition hardware and software (preferably Curtiss Wright Acra KAM)
  • Have a high level of self-management with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomous target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills
  • Have excellent problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Willingness for “hands-on” work on the FTI
