Working Student Flight Test Instrumentation (HW & Test) (m/f/d)

We are looking for a motivated working student to support our Flight Test Instrumentation Team.  FTI includes both hardware (various sensors, harness, data acquisition units, cameras, modems) as well as software (data conversion, real-time display, post-flight analysis etc. Your daily task at ERC would focus on hands-on tasks in the hangar, working on our prototype aircraft as well as supporting laboratory activities.


  • Support in testing of sensors and the data acquisition chain, both in the lab as well as on the aircraft
  • Hands-on tasks like soldering, harness routing or mechanical installations
  • Debugging on the aircraft
  • Configuration, Documentation and Maintenance of the entire data acquisition chain
  • Involvement in and support of the flight test campaign of our next prototype


you should …
  • Be enrolled in a Master of Science program in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical course of study
  • Have a good understanding and interest of measurement & sensor equipment as well as data acquisition
  • Be skilled in hands-on tasks like soldering, harness routing or mechanical installations
  • Ideally have some experience in testing and verification of sensors (e.g. accelerometers, strain gauges etc)
  • Have some experience working with Matlab/Simulink and/or Python
  • Be familiar with MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint)
  • Have a “get done” mentality and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with others
  • Be fluent in English language
