JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a passionate Embedded Software Integration Engineer to join our young and growing team. As an Embedded Software Integration Engineer, you are responsible for the integration of our auto-generated application software with the core software of the equipment as well as the development and maintenance of the core software of our equipment. The general work is ranging from developing, debugging and integrating device drivers, developing the SW layer between application and low-level SW to SW/SW and HW/SW integration. Shape the future of aerial mobility with us by ensuring that all our systems fulfill all requirements. You will work in close cooperation with regulatory partners and suppliers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, debug and integrate device drivers (ARINC 429, Serial and CAN on the existing low-level software (SW), on PowerPC and STM32 architectures
  • Develop a SW layer (scheduler, I/O-mapping) between the automatically generated code of avionics applications and the low-level SW, and integrate the applications code into the low-level SW
  • Perform SW/SW and HW/SW integration
  • Perform worst case execution timing analysis
  • Software build and release management
  • Identify system and software functionality to improve and build robust failure tolerant software
  • Support tasks include automatic generation of C code from design models in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Be part of our flight-testing campaigns and see your developments fly
  • Coordinate with other departments and external suppliers
  • Continuously challenge and improve the technical concepts, tools, and methods

YOUR PROFILE

you should …
  • Hold an academic degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Have 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development and software integration (preferably aerospace or automotive)
  • Good debugging skills in the safety critical hard real time software environment
  • Good software programming, design, and analytical skills
  • Have a basic understanding of safety-critical development processes, preferably DO-178C
  • Have strong motivation to establish processes and organizational structures
  • Have a high level of target-oriented self-management with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Have excellent problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Have fluent English language skills
  • Moreover, we appreciate if you …

  • Have a track record in aerospace industry
  • Have practical skills in aviation data-bus protocols (e.g., ARINC-429, ARINC-825)
