JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a passionate Embedded Software Engineer to join our young and growing team. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you are responsible for the integration of our application software with the core software of the equipment as well as the development and maintenance of the core software of our equipment. The general work is ranging from automatic code generation as well as manual coding of application software, development of core software as well as integration of the software in our equipment. Shape the future of aerial mobility with us by ensuring that all our systems fulfill all requirements. You will work in close cooperation with regulatory partners and suppliers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Integrate our application software with the equipment core software for our different prototypes
  • Develop, update, and maintain the core software for our equipment (for example including scheduling and IO drivers)
  • Integrate software with hardware
  • Support the generation of application software from design models in MATLAB/Simulink
  • Develop application software in C for our equipment
  • Define and execute integration tests
  • Support in the definition software development processes
  • Be part of our flight-testing campaigns and see your developments fly
  • Coordinate with other departments and external suppliers
  • Continuously challenge and improve the technical concepts, tools, and methods

YOUR PROFILE

you should …
  • Hold an academic degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Have 5 years of professional experience in airborne software development and software integration
  • Have a clear understanding of safety-critical development processes based on DO-178C
  • Have experience with model-based software development using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Have strong motivation to establish processes and organizational structures
  • Have a high level of target-oriented self-management with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Have excellent problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Have fluent English language skills

  • Have a track record in aerospace industry
  • Have a basic understanding of aerospace development processes according to ARP-4754A
  • Have practical skills in aviation data-bus protocols (e.g., ARINC-429, ARINC-825)
