Aircraft Designer (m/f/d)
(full-time, starting as soon as possible, permanent contract)

We are looking for an Aircraft Designer to support our Aircraft Design Team. The team is responsible for developing aircraft concepts from concept to preliminary design. In your role in the aircraft design team, you will perform trade-off studies on aircraft layouts and configurations for future aircrafts based on mission and performance requirements. In addition, you will support in the basic sizing and lofting while taken into account several aspects like, efficiency, stability, controllability. Therefore, you will apply handbook, simple, and enhanced methods.


  • Collect mission and performance requirements
  • Execute aircraft layout and configuration studies
  • Perform aircraft basic sizing and lofting
  • Conduct control surface sizing and check handling qualities
  • Generate landing gear and position systems
  • Make weight brake-down center of gravity estimations
  • Apply handbook methods and sizing codes


you should …
  • Hold an Master degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related field
  • Have strong motivation to establish processes and organizational structures
  • Have extensive experience with aircraft conceptual and preliminary design
  • Have extensive experience in handbook and simple sizing methods
  • Have good mechanical understanding and basic system knowledge
  • Have good knowledge of a CAD system (Siemens NX is preferred)
  • Have Basic knowledge in a programming language (Ansys APDL, Python, Matlab are preferred)
  • Have a high level of target-oriented self-management with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Have excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • Have fluent English language skills
