JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a passionate Aircraft Safety Engineer to join our young and growing team. As a Aircraft Safety Engineer you are responsible for the safety assessments of our vehicles. Your daily work covers the full spectrum of ARP4761, with the main focus on system-level safety activities. In addition to your daily work on system-level FHA, PSSA, etc., you will establish the necessary tools and processes along the way. The final goal of all your activities is achieving and demonstrating an adequate level of safety for our vehicles. Shape the future of aerial mobility with us by ensuring the safety of our vehicles. You will work in close cooperation with regulatory partners, other departments, and suppliers.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate and review safety assessments at the aircraft, system, and equipment levels
- Coordinate safety activities and proposals with certification authorities

Support system architecture development, supplier and component selection

Capture and manage safety requirements throughout the development life cycle

Prepare technical documentation of safety assessment activities and present the results
- Demonstrate safety compliance to the authorities

Be part of our flight-testing campaigns and see your developments fly

Coordinate with other departments and external suppliers

Continuously challenge and improve the technical concepts, tools, and methods
YOUR PROFILE
you should …
- Hold an academic degree in Aerospace/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Have 5+ years of professional experience within aerospace safety engineering

Have expert knowledge of relevant aerospace regulations and standards such as ARP4761 and ARP4754A
-
Be familiar with commonly used software tools such as Isograph FaultTree+
-
Be motivated to introduce tools and methods
-
Have a high level of target-oriented self-management with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
-
Have strong motivation to establish processes and organizational structures
-
Have excellent problem solving, communication, and technical writing skills
- Have fluent English language skills
