UAV/Drone Pilot for Flight Testing Purposes (m/f/d)
(part-time/Working Student, starting as soon as possible, fixed-term contract)

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a passionate UAV/Drone Pilot to join our young and growing team. As part of the flight test team at ERC, you will manually control unmanned prototype aircraft of various sizes and weights for the purpose of flight testing. You will use a handheld-remote control and operate the unmanned aircraft visual-line of sight together with a team of flight test engineers, who are constantly monitoring the operation from a ground station. To be optimally prepared for the flight tests, you will complete an extensive training program with latest flight simulator technologies. Shape the future of aerial mobility with us by actively contributing to the success of our flight test programs.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete ERC internal training program with theoretical and practical courses
  • Execute UAV flight tests as remote pilot in command with UAV in open (<25kg) and specific category in a multi-crew environment
  • Attend briefings and de-briefings and provide feedback about the conducted flight tests to engineers
  • Support in the development and improvement of operating procedures

YOUR PROFILE

you should …
  • Bring several years of experience as a drone pilot for multi-copter and fixed-wing drones or model planes
  • Be available from June to November 2024
  • Have positive results in aptitude test performed during application process
  • Bring an EU drone license (A2 or A1-A3)
  • Be based in Ottobrunn or Munich or around any of the two locations 
  • Have very good English skills
